18 April – Updates

Due to circumstances beyond our control, our meeting scheduled for 16 April was cancelled at the last minute.  We did our best to contact everyone via email and or text to advise.  We do follow the 27J rules for all closures, weather or otherwise.

ENCAMPMENT – Application deadline is approaching.  Applications need my signature.  If you are planning on applying, I need that document.  Please coordinate with me directly.  I will not be at the meeting next week, 23 April.

27 April – Emergency Services Training.  1200-1700, I need notice of who is planning to attend.  If you have assembled your 24 Hour Pack, bring it for certification. ABU’s, bring hydration gear, and a snack.  We will be doing UDF Training with Capt Nuckols.

WARRIOR WEEKEND – Everyone received a Wing email about this event hosted by Highlander Squadron.  This is an Emergency Services training weekend geared for cadets.  The BCS 803 van will be driving there on Friday, 03 May at 1400 and returning on Sunday after it is over.  You must sign up online through the link in their email.  If you want to join the van carpool, you need to contact me ASAP.  We have a few cadets and seniors planning to attend.

They are offering both Powered Orientation Flights and Glider Flights at the Warrior Weekend!  You sign up for those, on the link.  You must have completed your Curry, have full ABU uniform, and Ground Handling, and or Wing Runner to take the flights.  If you are signing up for flights, contact me.
