Curry Salute – 02 DEC 17

Curry Salute

On December 2 of each year, Colorado cadets of the Civil Air Patrol who earn their Curry Award in that calendar year are invited to Ft. Logan National Cemetery to participate in the Curry Salute ceremony.  During this ceremony, cadets are given a brief history lesson about Major General John F. Curry and his significance in founding the Civil Air Patrol.  After this history lesson, cadets are marched over to the grave site of Major General Curry, where they are introduced to the fallen General and his wife.  The cadets salute Major General Curry when being introduced.
